Lisboa is truly San Francisco of europe. Trams and city on the hills. There were trams elevator to go up the hill slope. Mini electric car with GPS map and explanation of interesting site in town.

The Sintra Pena summer castle was colourful and charming. The tiles painting interier was no less interesting. We finish off the trip with a day at the beach Cascais. But the one thing that was very close to home is food court in the shopping mall. There is even one in the airport terminal after checking in.

France has many wonders too. Nantes has a giant elephants that was inspired by Jules Verne novel was a great ride . Natural salt from Guerande farm by the seaside town was more of a paddy field to me. The price of salt here is equivalent to rice. There is the mini stonedge of France, megalite de Carnac which could be sit on or lite a more than 8 feet.

Italy, the city, food and people were ever so charming. The seafood pizza and pasta was great but the mini bar was the best. It has the same concept as the Malaysia ready to eat lunch with all the dishes cooked. You can select a pasta and 2 side dishes. I feel that Naples was better than Rome. Rome was what I has hope for but the churches at Naples was really something else. No wonder Italian marbles and their artists were world famous. The ancient city of Pompeii buried under volcano ashes was a magnificent show case ofthe 2000 years ago culture in Italy. W

What will be a summer holiday without sun burn by the Pescara sandy beaches :)

London has always been gloomy and wet. But with the fasinating museum around, there are still a lot to do. Greenwich marintine, time and astronomy museums were very exciting places for the children. To my suprise the national art museum also got my son attention as one of the place he would want to go again. I suppose it was the discription of certain arts that the galery highlights, capture the little one imagination. The computer interactive zoom did do the trick too. Learning about the great artis was also a great education experience for me too. Meeting up with TongWai, Chui Ling and little Danielle for dim-sum at Chinatown was a bang.

Really enjoyed the summer. Ladies topless sunbathing by the beach, even old ladies were doing that. I am still not able to wear a bikini in public, but already have the courage to buy one. Still staying in the closet, maybe forever. I have never seen so many big yacht before. All harboring by the sea side at Cannes.

Unfortunately did not rube shoulders with any of the rich and famous holidaying there. Going around Monte-Carlo to identify the F1 racing route in the city was just like a treasure hunt.

The leaning tower of Pisa construction was stopped twice for 100 years each before it was completed. They knew it was leaning from the start, but it did not stop them form finishing the magnificant bell tower for the cathedral. After visiting the cathedral at Florence, it showed that the italian really know how to appreciate marble for wall and flooring.

The vine and fine dining is all spoiling my waist line. Lunching at Paris with tiny table by the street has it entertainment which is people watching.

Notice that the little girl was sleeping mostly at the wrong time. Aunty LK would always get her at easy with a magical tune. Twinkle twinkle little star with a opera twist. Marilyn Monroe did it with a dress but this little girl at Moulin Rouge has her hair all blown up instead. Hair beautifully blown for the day

It is a little town beside Strasbourg France. Wheel of fortune was found in Kehl, German. This is the first time KW went on a fast train ride, TGV .

We wonder a little on the Rhine mountain and found a nice little town Titisee in Germany. It was cooling in the hot summer sun. We even manage to pluck some wild apples by the road side. It was certainly very different from the grey sky at Mount St Michel.
